Disbound album containing hand printed quotations of resistance and inspiration from Native American political and spiritual leaders of the 19th and 20th centuries, the bulk from American Indian Movement members during and after the 1973 Wounded Knee siege. Lyrics from the music group Redbone have also been transcribed. Copied text is in marker and pencil on ruled paper which has been attached to larger leafs of construction paper. Pasted illustrations, some dated 1983 and 1984, accompany some quotations. Album also contains several pencil on paper portraits of Native American figures, including Native members of the music groups Redbone and XIT, Russell Means, Dennis Banks, and Chief Dan George. Portaits are signed "GF '79" in lower right corner. Album appears to have been compiled by a young person, perhaps as a school project. Quotations are attributed to source in separate hand.
